New gasket after prepping with acetone.
Needed to modify the power-steering pump bracket to fit above the new header.
TRUST Header installed.
Ordered the TRUST header 5/6MGE 10510550 and combiner 11010001 from FortyOne Automotive in NZ. Took a while to manufacture and eventually arrive.
But this is what it looks like.
Unfortunately it got a bit scuffed during shipping. So i gave it a touch up coat of VHT flameproof blue.
List of remaining things required before the car can be registered:
Necessary
- Reinstall cat converter. ☑
- Rebuild the dash. ☑
- Check brake lines and bleed. ☐
- Fix petrol tank lid. ☑
- Fix and install grille. ☐
- Attach front bumper. ☐
- Install front bumber indicators. ☐
- Get Front and Rear windscreens supplied and installed - need to find a reliable glazier who can supply and install NAGS code TT1506 PGI code TT9000. Size 1510 x 723. ☐
- Fix relay or fuse for parking headlights. ☑
- Install bonnet. ☐
- Retorque head bolts to 74 Ft/lb. ☑
- Install washer bottles. ☐
- Acquire and install boot rubber. ☑
- Complete filling the car with fluids. ☑
- Finish rebuilding interior trim. ☐
- Source new tyres. ☑
- Start car. ☐
Optional
- Acquire and fit a new stereo. ☐
- Rebuild passenger side door. ☑
- Install mud guards and under body plastic protection. ☐
- Fog lights. ☐
Wired in the fusebox and ignitor today.
Finished the removal of the wiring loom this evening. There must be about 10Kg of wiring loom in total. I wonder if there is some way to simplify this?
